How I Like To Meditate…
There really is no one right way to meditate!
It truly is whatever you want or are comfortable with.
I typically like to meditate in bed or on my couch. Most meditation gurus recommend sitting upright in a seated position, but I find it is SO much more comfortable to lay down. Maybe I’m lazy, but I don’t care!
I have found that if you make the practice more comfortable and enjoyable then you are so much more likely to be consistent with it!
Who wants to do something everyday if it is super uncomfortable?
Not me.
I also will lay with a blanket and sometimes even a pillow and then I typically put on a guided meditation. I like when someone talks me through the meditation, instead of just doing my own with meditation music.
When I first started meditating, I started with only 5-10 minutes per session and that was it. But even just that short amount of time was beneficial! I recommend starting super slow and building up your practice over time. Humans don’t typically like change, and it takes us awhile to adjust to new habits and changes.
